BRIC SUMMIT LOGO GENERATOR
BRIC Summit Logo Generator is a software that allows visitors to generate their own versions of the Summit logo, which can then be placed on the products that they take home from the event. Allowing visitors to create their own unique version of the logo, the software provides an interactive experience which reinforces the core idea of the summit: engagement, inclusivity, and diversity.
Context
I had the honor of collaborating with a non-profit organization called the BRIC Foundation, which aims to empower diverse perspectives and increase the representation of minorities in creative industries. My responsibility included creating an identity system for the organization and its annual event known as the BRIC Summit. In addition to the brand identity, I also conceptualized and programmed a software called the 'BRIC Summit Logo Generator,' enabling users to create their personalized version of the summit logo.
BRIC Summit 2021
BRIC Summit is an annual event held by BRIC Foundation. The Summit brings a community of thought provokers together from different facets of the entertainment and tech industries to collectively solve how we support and nurture up-and-coming talent as it pertains to women and underrepresented groups who have an interest in being creative leaders.
The Problem
Due to Covid-19 pandemic situation, BRIC Summit 2021 was hosted virtually by video conference. Since virtual attendees tend to feel less connected, I had to think about creative ways to make audiences feel more engaged in the virtual summit.
A design challenge emerged....
How might we design a system that provides an interactive experience for virtual summit attendees to feel more engaged?
The Solution
The logo generator allows visitors to generate their own versions of the BRIC Summit logo, which can then be placed on the products that they take home from the event. Utilizing a set of parametric controls that are connected to different attributes of the logo, such as its color, size, and shape, the system is able to output the logo in various ways. Allowing visitors to create their own unique version of the logo, the software provides an interactive experience that reinforces the core idea of the summit: engagement, inclusivity, and diversity.
